The recognition of prior education emboldened my courage to become a university student and fortified my belief that I could attain an education credential I had previously thought to be a closed door.īuilding on my existing education also meant lower tuition costs. I was compelled to understand and address the challenges of helping capable people enjoy a rewarding and meaningful career, and working together toward the shared purpose and mission of the organization.īy enrolling in a diploma-to-degree program, I could build on the business administration diploma I had completed at Lakeland College over 20 years prior and earn a Bachelor of Management. The world of work continues to evolve in wild and wonderful ways, and I was excited to be in a position that pushes my learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving. As the sun set on the tournament, it was clear that the real winners were the Alberta Food Bank and the individuals it supports. 🏌️♂️ Amidst the laughter and cheers across the course, this event emphasized the power of unity among credit union leaders. Every swing contributed to raising funds for local charities, with a special focus on the Alberta Food Bank, on behalf of the Alberta Credit Union System. 🏌️♀️ The tournament, set on a stunning golf course, was not just about golf it was about making a difference. On the picturesque greens, credit union managers from far and wide enjoyed a break from their daily responsibilities and connected on a different level. ⛳The 26th Annual Credit Union Managers Charity Golf Tournament brought credit union leaders together for a day of golf, camaraderie, and giving back.
